Project Description: This project involved the complete design of a goal-based savings mobile app focused on financial planning and personal growth. The goal was to create an intuitive, secure, and user-friendly experience that encourages users to save consistently and reach their dreams with clarity and confidence.
The design process began with understanding users’ saving behaviors and financial motivations. The focus was on creating a minimal, motivating, and data-driven interface that simplifies goal creation, progress tracking, and savings insights. The final design provided users with personalized dashboards, goal progress visuals, and smart reminders to stay on track.
Process:
The process started with user research and competitor analysis to identify pain points in traditional savings apps. Insights were used to design user flows and wireframes that streamline goal setup, target tracking, and fund management.
Next, high-fidelity prototypes were developed, featuring a goal creation wizard, progress bars, and analytics dashboards to visualize savings growth. After testing with users, the interface was refined with clean typography, warm color tones, and motivational visuals, creating a sense of trust and achievement throughout the experience.
Struggles:
The main challenge was keeping the interface simple while handling multiple financial goals for different user types. Balancing motivation with practicality required thoughtful UX decisions, such as visual cues for progress and subtle gamification. Ensuring data security and maintaining user trust while keeping the experience friendly and approachable was also a key consideration throughout the design process.
